Getting off your butt and getting active is as important as healthy eating. I don’t care what you do, just get off the couch and do something. Take your dog for a walk, take yourself for a walk, go for a hike, ride your bike. There are a lot of ways to get active. There is truly no excuse to get started.
I love to hike and backpack. The Cloud Peak Wilderness of Wyoming is a fantastic place right here in my backyard for great backpacking. The Black Hills of South Dakota are great for hiking – so-so for backpacking; not a lot of treatable water and you never really get far away from anything. They are just hills!
Backpacking requires a good solid base of core strength. My favorite for core strength is Barefoot Fitness here in Spearfish, SD. Kelli is the only RKC instructor close by. The closest RKC instructor in South Dakota is in Sioux Falls at 400 miles away, Casper, Wyoming 220 miles; Omaha, Nebraska 575 miles; Bozeman, Montana 466 miles; and Grand Forks, North Dakota (wherever that is) at 572 miles away. One Kelli in about 197,000 square miles!
